Jana Finkbonner, a proud member of the Lummi Nation, resides on the picturesque 5-mile peninsula northwest of Bellingham. Her ancestral ties encompass Washington's northernmost coast and extend into southern British Columbia, reflecting a deep connection to the land and its heritage.

Currently residing in Bellingham, Jana cherishes moments with her two beautiful children, a supportive boyfriend, and an extended family that adds warmth to her life.

Since 2008, Jana has been the dedicated Director of the North Intertribal Vocational Rehabilitation (NIVRP) Program at the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians. This consortium grant initiative has been instrumental in providing vital vocational rehabilitation services to five Tribes across three counties. Prior to this role, she dedicated 11 years to the Lummi Nation Employment and Training Center, showcasing her commitment to empowering tribal communities through education and vocational opportunities.

Jana's journey in supporting indigenous communities extends even further, with her years of service in various programs at Northwest Indian College. Her passion for enhancing education and vocational prospects within tribal communities is not just a profession but a source of great joy for her.
